Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. This will involve administering prescribed medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments as directed by a physician or other authorized healthcare professional.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training at the Healthcare Provider level.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Ability to maintain concentration with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent, related experience is an asset.
  • Current Emergency nursing experience preferred.
  • Satisfactory employment record required.
