Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration and interaction within the health care team, and participation in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments
  • Collaborate and interact with the health care team
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge
Requirements
  • One year of acute clinical care experience required within the last 3 years
  • Satisfactory employment record required
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program required
  • Successful completion of the MB Nephrology Nursing Course or Dialysis Training recognized by the Centre is required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses
