Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration and interaction within the healthcare team, and participation in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments
  • Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program
  • Certification in IV Therapy; IV Medication Administration
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
  • CPR training requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent, related experience in the applicable clinical area
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses
