Animal Care Assistant

About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the BC SPCA. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to the animals in our centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the animal enclosures and facilities
- Ensure the health and well-being of the animals through regular monitoring and reporting
- Provide daily care and attention to the animals, including feeding, watering, and exercise
- Assist with animal adoptions and provide information to potential adopters
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve the goals and objectives of the animal centre
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
