Position Details

Grade/Division: Core French

FTE/Sections: 1.00 FTE

Schedule: As Per Contract

Qualifications: As per the Education Act and Regulations, unless otherwise specified.

Appointment of Occasional Teachers in Long Term Assignments

This assignment will be filled in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Elementary Collective Agreement. Priority placement will be given to unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Elementary Teacher bargaining in order of seniority. In the event the assignment remains unfilled, qualified applications from the Occasional Roster will be considered.

We encourage applications from all certified teacher applicants as well as education students holding, or who have applied for, a Temporary Certificate of Registration and Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers.

Please note that the assignment may terminate as follows:

  • on a date determined to meet a Board staffing requirement;
  • the last teaching day before the return date of the absent teacher;
  • by no later than the last teaching day of the current school year.
