Tax Planning and Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive tax plans, ensuring effective tax management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to implement tax strategies and policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial risks, working closely with accounting teams to implement solutions.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare income tax provision calculations and disclosures, including deferred tax calculations and reporting to Corporate.
  • Support V.P. Finance and E.V.P. Finance with special projects, including review of tax positions of potential acquisitions and application of tax reorganization law.
  • Assist V.P. Finance with review of income tax provision and correct application of tax accounting literature.
  • Manage and coordinate tax-related audit or queries received from government or government-related agencies.
  • Partner with multiple parties to integrate merged or acquired companies for accurate and timely consolidation and tax reporting.
Your Expertise - Our Strength
  • A self-starter with 4 to 6 years of core consulting experience in Corporate Tax, including operating successfully as a manager/senior manager in a large professional service environment.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting and an active CPA license, with at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, emphasizing consulting and strong income tax compliance experience.
  • Experience in planning, research, and general mergers and acquisitions activities is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) to facilitate exchanges with the team outside Quebec and international colleagues.
