At Teva Pharmaceuticals, we seek a seasoned legal professional to drive our Canadian operations forward. As an Associate Director, Legal and Business Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in advising senior management and influencing top leaders to ensure data privacy requirements are seamlessly integrated into enterprise activities and programs.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of legal matters impacting the Canadian organization, including purchase and/or divestment of assets, alliance management, agreement negotiating and drafting, advising on local laws, legal counselling, litigation matters, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee external legal counsel, manage legal spend, and connect issues and opportunities across the business to drive the company's success.
  • Assist the Executive Counsel as needed and provide legal advice and support to the Company's various business units in the Canadian business.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain organizational privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with legislation and in coordination with organizational leadership, the Privacy compliance oversight structure, and legal counsel.
  • Lead ongoing monitoring for compliance of privacy and security-related policies and procedures.
  • Manage important non-IP litigation, including HR and employee matters, mediations, employment and labour standard issues, etc.


Requirements:




  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in private practice and/or in-house setting experience in a related industry.
  • Work experience in a firm or legal experience in a pharmaceutical/Healthcare/Life sciences organization is preferred.
  • Proven judgment and ability to counsel senior management and influence top leaders.
