About the Role

AbCellera is seeking an experienced and exceptional individual for the role of Principal Scientist – Pharmacokinetics. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to help build out our pharm-tox capabilities, enabling us to move programs faster and with less risk to the clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute PK data packages tailored for individual programs
  • Predict and verify appropriate dosing regimens to demonstrate antibody PK/PD relationships across a range of drug targets and disease areas
  • Oversee pharmacokinetics studies to support antibody design and assessment
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to generate data and interpret them
  • Train and mentor more junior scientists
  • Evaluate new technology and test new models to better predict human illness
  • Report findings to our teams and partners to support data-driven decision making
Requirements
  • A proven track record of building PK datasets to support successful drug development programs, from early discovery and into later stages
  • Expertise in designing PK studies and conducting PK/PD data analysis, using WinNonlin or other similar software
  • A PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, or related discipline with 10+ years of industry experience; if you have a MSc and 15+ years of related industry experience, you will also be considered
  • A passion for understanding how models can predict therapeutic responses to human disease
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience authoring sections of regulatory submissions and a strong understanding of scientific and regulatory standards for bioanalysis of biologics
What We Offer

AbCellera's hiring range for this role is CAD $141,600 - $177,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. You will also have a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, opportunity for flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits.
