Job Summary

The Asset Remarketing Specialist plays a crucial role in maximizing the return on the sale of repossessed or end-of-lease equipment while minimizing costs. This position involves close collaboration with internal and external partners to determine resale values, negotiate sales transactions, and prepare documentation for ownership transfer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of equipment returns and resale values
  • Update database platforms to meet reporting requirements
  • Assess and evaluate equipment to determine resale values and determine final asking prices
  • Negotiate and finalize sales transactions with internal and external partners
  • Prepare documentation for ownership transfer and ensure all items are sold free and clear of liens
  • Develop a diverse network of contacts for equipment remarketing and repair
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and procedures within the company
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Analyze or investigate select files to identify irregularities
  • Collaborate with the risk-management team to determine future best practices for protecting company investments
  • Challenge the status quo and propose new ideas for improving processes and relationships
Requirements
  • Construction and transportation equipment background
  • Experience in asset management, asset remarketing, or relevant fields
  • Critical thinking skills to recognize equipment, transaction, and portfolio-related risks and opportunities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflows simultaneously
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Word and Excel
