About the Role

The Career Development Officer will serve a primary role in supporting the goals and outcomes of JobSeries programs within Career Services, EDCS department. This position will be responsible for program support functions to maintain and enhance the delivery of JobSeries throughout the province.

  • Maintain client data for enrolment and registrations
  • Assist in procurement of resources, including capital assets
  • Develop, plan, coordinate and implement seminars, conferences or workshops
  • Manage administrative aspects in JobSeries programs, including course management and logistics
  • Plan activities and initiatives to assist client engagement with the programs
  • Maintain program equipment, classroom facilities and materials to ensure a safe work environment
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to stay current and relevant in teaching areas, educational standards, employment and industry trends

This role requires strong analytical skills to collect and analyze data. The Career Development Officer will serve as an administrative liaison between JobSeries/SIIT programming and community stakeholders. They will report on client attendance to funding agencies and work with databases and spreadsheets to compile and communicate information.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a business certificate or diploma, with at least three years of relevant experience in career development and facilitation. Certification in Service Best Facilitation is considered an asset. You should also possess a good understanding of coordination processes and procedures, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and OneDrive. Knowledge of First Nations culture and organizations would be beneficial.

Strong attention to detail, client focus, and knowledge expertise are essential for this role. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are also crucial.

What We Offer

This is a full-time term position up to April 30, 2025. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required due to travel requirements.

Estimated Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum based on qualifications and experience.
