High-Level AML Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AML Project Manager to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to regulatory changes and strategic improvement and enhancement of the AML program. They will work closely with various Financial Crimes teams and Business groups to ensure timely completion of projects within approved timeframe, scope, and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute projects with moderate level of value (benefit/cost) and complexity, ensuring effective management of project scope, requirements change, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement integrated baseline project plans, applying estimated models and refining plans as needed.
- Oversee the execution of project tasks, manage budgets, and identify potential operational risks.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including Business/Technology Owners, to ensure deliverables meet business requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Crimes, AML/Fraud prevention, and compliance regulations in Canada, US, and other jurisdictions where RBC operates.
- Effective communication and organizational skills, with ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Candidates with CAMS designation, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and awareness of banking products and regulations will be considered assets.
