Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food in a fast-paced food service establishment. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including kitchen and food service helpers
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
  • Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced food service establishment, with a team of 5-10 people, including kitchen and food service helpers. The work environment will be physically demanding, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining high quality standards.
