Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assurance Manager to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As an experienced professional, you will lead client-facing engagement teams and deliver industry expertise through client interactions, reports, and high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Engagement Leadership: Lead client-facing engagement teams to complete compliance tax engagements and financial/accounting transactions.
  • Technical Expertise: Deliver industry and technical expertise in assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks, and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients' needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop.
  • Project Financials: Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition).
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues relevant to the client's business, financial entries, and reports.
  • Business Development: Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
  • Mentorship: Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Accounting Experience: 5 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Designation: Working towards a CPA designation is considered an asset.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Software Experience: Experience working with accounting and tax software.
Compensation

We offer a highly competitive salary, estimated at around $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
