About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist to join our team at APTECH PRECISION MACHINING INC. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and quality of our machined parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Tool Repair and Maintenance

Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Engineering Drawing Interpretation

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.

Component Assembly and Inspection

Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, and verify dimensions using precise measuring instruments.

Documentation and Reporting

Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, and maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.

Production Setup and Operation

Set up and adjust production machinery/tools, and set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.

Quality Control

Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in CNC machining
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to work with precision measuring instruments
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
