Scotiabank is a leading financial institution with a strong presence in the market. As a Corporate Director, Community Development and Support at Scotiabank, you will play a critical role in driving the design, execution, and ongoing management of our strategic agenda.

This includes supporting our CEO and Group Heads in developing, communicating, planning, and executing our organization-wide strategy as well as business-line specific priorities. You will work closely with senior management, business line leads, and stakeholders to lead the execution of strategic projects, generate insights, and deliver strategic recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategy Execution
  • Lead cross-functional teams across business lines to design, develop, and implement strategic programs and initiatives.
  • Bridge silos and enable alignment across business lines and corporate functions.
  • Drive the execution and ongoing management of strategic planning with key business lines to ensure alignment with our strategic plan.
  • Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and implementation plans to senior leaders.
Executive Communications
  • Support the CEO's agenda, including all-bank strategy, business line value creation projects, strategic planning, and Board-level communications.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management
  • Contribute to building the strategy team, including recruiting, coaching, knowledge development, and championing a customer-focused culture.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates top talent.

Requirements:

  • MBA, PhD, or relevant post-graduate degree from a recognized institution.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Experience running complex projects with large groups of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships across the Bank, its partners, and external vendors.
  • Collaborative and proven track record of managing and developing high-potential talent.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
