About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team at Golden Life Management Corporation. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep and repair of our buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Assist with maintenance requests from residents and staff, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager to review and coordinate maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Directly interact with tradespeople, suppliers, and contractors to manage maintenance projects, including quotes, scheduling, and quality control.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, warranties, and inventory management.
Requirements:
- Related building or facility maintenance experience, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Class 4 driver's license considered an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Clear Criminal Record - Vulnerable Sector check and Immunization Records.
