Job Title: Glazier

We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team at Disher Construction Ltd (BC1077745). As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining glass and other glazing materials in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Repair: Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each job, and measure, mark, and cut glass to specifications.
  • Preparation and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, and assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products.
  • Workplace Information: Work on the road, and be prepared to travel to various job sites.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, and provide mentorship programs that pair them with experienced employees.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
