Technical Expertise - Mechanical

The Wärtsilä Energy Business team has a vacancy for a Chief Mechanical Service Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke engines.
  • Supervise and conduct advanced mechanical troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.
  • Interact professionally with customers during work execution.
  • Commission service products and perform overhauls and maintenance activities together with customer mechanics on-site.
  • Lead and manage onsite teams and related activities during overhauls.
  • Monitor and report internal and external progress status of assigned work.
  • Create customer work orders and reports using customer CMMS.
  • Ensure work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Follow up and report on work order status to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Solicit solutions based on best practices.
  • Provide operational support when required by customers.
  • Deliver on-site trainings to customer mechanics.
