Motel Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Skyways Motel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the motel, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Lead and manage a team of 3-4 staff members, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our guests.
- Perform Same Duties as Workers Supervised: Assist with tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, and customer service to ensure that the motel is running smoothly.
- Assist Clients/Guests with Special Needs: Provide exceptional customer service to guests with special needs, ensuring that their requirements are met.
- Coordinate, Assign and Review Work: Plan and assign tasks to staff members, reviewing their progress and providing feedback to ensure that they are meeting expectations.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit and train new staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain Operation of Computer Systems, Equipment, Machinery: Ensure that all computer systems, equipment, and machinery are functioning properly, arranging for repairs as needed to maintain business continuity and customer service delivery.
- Requisition Materials and Supplies: Order and manage the procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring that the motel has everything it needs to operate efficiently.
Requirements:
- Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 Year to Less Than 2 Years of Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role is required.
- Or Equivalent Experience: Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered.
Work Setting: The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload and tight deadlines. They will be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines. They will also be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will be required to have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have a high level of initiative. They will also be required to be accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient, and organized.
Work Term: The successful candidate will be required to work on a permanent basis, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Work Language: The successful candidate will be required to speak English fluently.
