About the Location
The Director of Engineering, Commercial Technology will be based in Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Senior Director, Solution Architecture, Commercial Technology. This role will require 2-3 days per week in the office, while working remotely on other days.

About the Role
This senior leadership position oversees the strategy and direction of Engineering Technology, supporting the priorities and strategies within the Commercial organization. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement technologies and applications that enable Four Seasons to be the world's most guest-centric, digitally driven luxury hospitality brand.

Main Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Leading and defining the technical strategy, design, roadmap, and systems integration of the technology stack to support Commercial strategy, objectives, and desired experiences across Digital Channels, Brand Marketing.
2. Collaborating with development teams to build and enhance hospitality commercial applications like hotel staff apps, customer mobile app, customer ecommerce solutions.
3. Focused on delivering exceptional Guest and Staff experiences that drive revenue and operational efficiencies.
4. Conducting market research on latest technology trends to expand capabilities and plans 'Proof of Concept' to assess fit for purpose and needs.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
1. 10-15+ years of experience in Digital, Engineering Technologies including Ecommerce, Web, Mobile Apps, Cloud services.
2. Expert skills architecting solutions for enterprise applications running in a cloud-first environment, experience required in throughput management, troubleshooting, monitoring, building alerting systems, performance, and load management.
3. Proven success leading developers, reviewing code, mentoring, teaching best practices, managing development deliverables.
4. 15+ years Development experience, building software applications for Fortune 1000 Organizations, must be able to build solutions for Enterprise systems using modern methods.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in hospitality or related industry, architecture certification, ecommerce experience, Salesforce experience, Oracle system experience, project management or Scrum Master capacity are considered assets.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is between $180,000 and $250,000 annually, depending on experience. Four Seasons offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
