Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team at Vision33. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing a full range of services to our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer billings (sales ordering to invoicing) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the ordering process by processing orders in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Process vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, approvals, and account coding in accordance with company policy.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, partners, and other key stakeholders to execute in an array of functional areas within the accounting department.
  • Incoming and outgoing payment processing (cheques, wires, credit cards).
  • Process employee expenses claims in accordance with company policy.
  • Support the accounting helpdesk inbox; respond to customer and vendor inquiries as required within established guidelines.
  • Completion of month end procedures for multiple companies/regions/currencies, including accruals, intercompany adjustments, and other key month-end adjustments.
  • Analyze monthly financial data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary business degree or diploma in accounting.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.
  • Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP Business One, or another ERP system, is considered an asset.
  • Experience in information technology or professional service sectors is an asset.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and management.
  • Strong analytical skills and initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Works well under pressure with multiple concurrent deadlines.
