The Home Support Worker (HSW) is an integral member of our team, providing person-centered care to our residents. As a HSW, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, ensuring the rights and dignity of our residents are respected.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established personal service plans.
  • Provide personal care for residents, including medication assistance, bathing, grooming, dressing, and assisting with meals.
  • Respond to call bell alarms and monitor residents' progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes.
  • Encourage residents to participate in social, physical, spiritual, and recreational activities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of community policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in community and education programs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate from a recognized Care Aide Program.
  • Active registration with the British Columbia Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 certification and current CPR.
  • Medication Administration Certification required.
  • Previous experience in a care community preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
