We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Specialist to join our team at Aecon, a leading Canadian infrastructure development company. As a Senior Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our projects, particularly in the nuclear power sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with customer, contract, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive work packages and construction, inspection, and test plans.
- Identify and report quality problems and issues related to the effective implementation of the project quality management plan.
- Work closely with the project quality manager to ensure that quality assurance and quality control requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures and protocols to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Support the project site team in matters related to quality and ensure that quality standards are met.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Certification in quality engineering (CQE) or quality technology (CQT).
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and control, preferably in the nuclear power sector.
- Experience with nuclear codes and standards, as well as an understanding of nuclear safety culture.
- Knowledge and experience with non-destructive methods and their application.
- Knowledge and experience with weld procedures, welding processes, and their application.
- Experience interfacing with project team members, the AI/ANI, and customer representatives.
- Experience working in a nuclear facility and interfacing with the facility owner.
