About the Role

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Marketing Specialist - Events & Exhibitions to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing local marketing plans for the Canadian market of assigned business lines, product groups, segments, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Local Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with management to define event strategies, aligning with communications teams on messaging, content, operations, activation, and tracking for both external and internal events.
  • Plan and Manage Event Resources: Manage timelines, event resources, agencies, suppliers, and budgets for events.
  • Lead Collection and Follow-up: Ensure lead collection onsite and plan follow-up with stakeholders.
  • Event Evaluation and Optimization: Analyze the effectiveness of event initiatives, collect and provide timely evaluations of various event activities, and make recommendations to optimize the end-to-end event experience.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and manage effective, timely, and relevant internal communications for sales channels.
  • Message and Branding Compliance: Ensure message and branding compliance and consistency.
Requirements
  • University Degree: A university degree is required.
  • Industry Experience: More than 5 years of industry experience in relevant marketing communication positions, including industry experience and project management.
  • International Experience: Appreciation for working in international environments (strong intercultural skills).
  • Copywriting and Editing Skills: Excellent copywriting and editing skills, able to simplify complex technical contents into appealing marketing messages and contents.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Event Management: Proven results in managing B2B events.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic mindset and sees how to leverage these investments.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration skills and team spirit.
  • Market Data Collection: Market data collection skills.
  • Professional Presence: Professional presence with sales and suppliers and external partners.
