About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Signal Maintainer to join our team at CP. In this critical role, you will be responsible for testing and verifying the correct operation of S&C systems and equipment on your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all S&C apparatus, including routine inspections and tests as required.
  • Repair or replace defective devices promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions to our operations.
  • Investigate and locate problems or failures, taking swift corrective action to ensure system reliability.
  • Plan and coordinate work with other teams, ensuring seamless execution and efficient use of resources.
  • Install new apparatus according to prepared circuit drawings and standards, adhering to established protocols.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports, time sheets, and handle general correspondence in a professional manner.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required.
  • You must possess a valid driver's license and meet the requirements for Class 1 qualifications.
  • A safety-oriented work ethic and experience performing labor in an outdoor environment are essential.
  • The ability to follow instructions, rules, and regulations is crucial for success in this role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Candidates with a Commercial Vehicle and/or air brake license are considered assets.
