Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and writing of studies, technical specifications design, installation, testing and revenue service commissioning of signaling systems on conventional railways.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and preparing design criteria and specifications for signaling systems.
  • Supervising contractors and supporting customers during system design and installation implementation phases.
  • Assisting in the testing and commissioning of new equipment and evaluating the operational performance of the system.
  • Performing visual inspections of existing crossings and associated signaling and telecom equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or software engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in railway and transit signaling systems, preferably with a major railway company.
  • Practical design experience of railway control signals.
  • Understanding of the functional and operational requirements of signaling systems.
  • Knowledge of AREMA standards and familiarity with CENELEC, IEC, and IEEE standards.
  • Fluency in French and functional level of English.
