About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Lead to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for delivering projects using Agile methodologies and lean approach techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Establish priorities, standards, and strategies consistent with the technology roadmap, business goals, and economic viability.
  • Work with application owners to understand software currency needs and technical constraints to establish the scope of the project and define and deliver complex features.
  • Translate business requirements and bank standards into technical guidelines for development.
  • Lead software currency initiatives and manage diverse projects by providing guidance to development teams.
  • Provide input to the continuous improvement of processes and adopting latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Coach teams to create an agile culture and help them to innovate.
Requirements
  • A solid CS foundation, including experience in software engineering and development, scalability issues, and multi-tiered integration solutions.
  • Passionate about technology and maintaining superior knowledge of emerging industry trends.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity in a sophisticated matrix management organization.
  • Good knowledge of Global Wealth products and services.
  • Good relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
