About the Role:

The Syndicated Lending Operations Associate is a key member of the Commercial Lending Operations team at Coast Capital Savings. This role is responsible for the servicing of the company's syndicated and mezzanine financing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret Inter-Lender Agreements to determine deal structure, including product and value assignments.
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to strategize the utilization of syndication systems.
  • Facilitate discussions with Senior Account Managers/Directors on deal structure and problem-solving.
  • Lead discussions with partner FI's Agency teams on monthly accounting, including draw splits, payments, and interest.
  • Calculate splits for participating FIs for draws, payments, fees, and payouts, and coordinate wire transfers and payment notices.
  • Process and reconcile ongoing carve-out portions of loans, redistributing and recalculating payments and fees as needed.
  • Reconcile FX lending on participant files, noting USD products are not available in our systems.
  • Set up and reconcile Bankers' Acceptance loans with partner FIs.
  • Perform banking system transactions for account creation, funding, renewals, payouts, and complex loan maintenance.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, coaching, and training for team members in similar roles.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of job-related experience.
  • 2-5 years of syndicated commercial lending administration experience and familiarity with CCS lending products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, using tact and problem-solving skills to assist and support staff at all levels.
  • Solid knowledge of banking operations, including risk management controls, techniques, and practices in an administrative environment.
  • Solid proficiency with banking systems.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office applications and Syndtrak.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial procedures, processes, and practices, as well as commercial lending products and services.
  • Working knowledge of lending policy.
  • Advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of information, apply, and reconfigure concepts and strategies.
