">The Portfolio and Client Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the operation department at Scotiabank. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives that support the business strategies and objectives of the operation department.
">Key Responsibilities

- Act as the primary liaison between clients and managers to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.">
- Proactively review client accounts to identify potential cash needs, including fee payments to Scotiabank, and custodian services to prevent any client account from falling into a debit position.">
- Work closely with the Account Data Management Administrator and other operations teams to resolve client queries, reduce errors, prepare monthly and quarterly client mailings, and ensure all documentation is accurate and sent to clients in a timely manner.">
- Evaluate client documentation to ensure it is up-to-date, including monthly letters, welcome kits, and working with clients or their accountants to gather missing book value information.">
- Adhere to compliance procedures and notify the Compliance team promptly of any new or unusual activity.">
- Verify reports, invoices, receipts, and other documents before they are sent to clients.">
- Process prompt payment of Scotiabank invoices and work with the Account Manager to collect outstanding balances.">
- Provide coverage for reception and supply needs on a rotational basis.">
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.">
Requirements
">To succeed in this role, you will require:

- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.">
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.">
- Investment industry experience, preferably in brokerage, investment, or trust companies.">
- Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.">
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.">
- A focus on client service and proactive problem-solving skills.">
- Reliable with good judgment, innovative, and eager to participate in new projects and initiatives.">
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.">
- An elevated level of self-motivation and self-discipline.">
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.">
