Job Summary:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Professional to join our team at Varinder Singh. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and their families.



About the Role

  • This is a full-time position that involves working 30 hours per week, with a permanent contract.
  • You will be required to work in an English-speaking environment, ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and families.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to travel with families on trips, assist with child supervision, and engage in various housekeeping duties.
  • A significant portion of your time will be spent caring for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and supervising their daily activities.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment, organizing activities, and preparing nutritious meals.
  • In addition to childcare duties, you will provide emotional support to children, ensuring their well-being and happiness.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional childcare services to children, including bath time, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with household chores, such as laundry and cleaning, to maintain a tidy and organized home environment.
  • Travel with families on trips, ensuring the children's safety and enjoyment.
  • Engage in educational activities, teaching personal hygiene and social development skills.
  • Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods, promoting positive behavior and relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, meals, and any notable events.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with other caregivers to ensure seamless childcare services and a cohesive team environment.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Physical stamina to perform childcare duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
