Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Professional to join our team at Junior Scholars Educational Childcare Ltd. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.



About the Role

  • This is a permanent position with an estimated 30 hours of work per week.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment.
  • Our childcare centre is a dynamic and supportive team that values diversity and inclusion.


Responsibilities

The Childcare Professional will assist early childhood educators in developing and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes:



  • Assisting early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Engaging children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting.
  • Guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Preparing snacks and setting up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discussing children's progress and problems at staff meetings.
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss children's progress and problems.


Requirements

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not necessary.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.


Certifications and Licenses

The Childcare Professional should possess the following certifications and licenses:



  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
