About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Pharmacist to join our team at Hamilton Drugs Ltd. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order and Maintain Stock: Ensure that our pharmacy is well-stocked with pharmaceutical supplies, including medications, equipment, and other essential items.
  • Customer Service: Provide expert advice to customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medications, as well as assist with prescription filling and other pharmacy-related tasks.
  • Prescription Management: Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, and compound prescribed pharmaceutical products as needed.
  • Medication Profiles: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication profiles for our customers, including records of poisons, narcotics, and controlled substances.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and technicians to ensure seamless operation of the pharmacy.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Hold current certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, as well as Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Security Clearance: Possess basic security clearance and be eligible for professional liability insurance.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
