Job Summary

Hamilton Drugs Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing Medications: Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies, advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication, and check prescriptions for proper dosage.
  • Compounding and Preparation: Compound prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and offer guidance on medication use.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Experience: Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is an asset.
  • Certifications: Certification for drug administration by injection and intranasal route, Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification, and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
