Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Renfrew County District School Board. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting
  • Operate custodial cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Strip, reseal, and refinish floors as needed
  • Perform heavy tasks, including assisting with the unloading of heavy supplies or materials
  • Repair lockers, doors, and furniture, and replace fuses and light bulbs
  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including unclogging drains and resetting circuit breakers
  • Use manual or mechanized equipment to remove snow and cut grass
  • Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent of Grade 12
  • At least one year of experience in the custodial field
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights
  • Working knowledge of email and computer software programs, such as Excel or Word
  • Knowledge of WHMIS
