At MCJFC FOOD ENTERPRISES LTD., we are seeking a skilled Swing Manager to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence in food safety and quality control.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory management.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, focusing on their development and performance.
  • Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres, staying up-to-date with trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
