We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team at IPEX. As a Quality Control Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining, monitoring, and improving quality systems and processes to ensure products meet established company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Lead and coach the Quality team to achieve conformity and continuous improvements.
  • Oversee the quality assurance lab to ensure accurate testing and inspection of products.
  • Collaborate with the Material Review Board to make decisions related to quality concerns.
  • Prepare and submit product specifications manuals to support production.
  • Replenish required materials, parts, tools, and equipment for the quality assurance lab.
  • Supervise projects for improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost savings within the department.
  • Ensure work instructions are developed and communicated to employees.
  • Prepare operating reports to summarize production, downtime, scrap, and variance performance by machine and shift.
  • Coordinate internal and external auditing as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years' experience in a quality-related role, ideally in a plastic manufacturing environment.
  • ASQ CQE certification is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance procedures and control methodologies.
  • Strong aptitude for control of calibration on testing and measuring equipment.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft software, hardware installations, network configurations, database management, and phone systems.
