About Sofina Foods:
Sofina Foods is a leading manufacturer of protein products for retail and foodservice customers. We operate in Canada and Europe, with a portfolio of brands including Cuddy, Lilydale, and Janes.
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance across our facilities. This includes developing and implementing quality assurance and regulatory programs, as well as providing leadership and support to the QA team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance and regulatory programs, including HACCP and FSEP.
- Provide leadership and direction to the QA team.
- Collaborate with plant operations, sales, and product development teams on new product launches.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train employees on quality, regulatory, and food safety procedures.
- Participate in internal and external audits and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of food safety experience in a QA leadership capacity.
- Primary poultry experience preferred, with MPIP certification an asset.
- HACCP certification and strong knowledge of GMPs, regulatory requirements, and GFSI standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
