Generalist Supervisor

This role is a key position in our Generalist department, responsible for overseeing the creation of photorealistic environments for our productions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of Generalists in the creation of high-quality environments, ensuring timely delivery and meeting the visual style of the show.
- Develop and implement workflows, setups, and asset management systems to optimize team productivity.
- Collaborate with the production team, CG supervisor, and other departments to discuss bidding, planning, and execution of environment builds.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior artists, ensuring they meet the high standards of our work.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
- 10+ years of relevant VFX experience and a college-level diploma in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography; OR 12+ years of relevant VFX experience in lieu of education.
- Proven expertise in all CG techniques, including modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, look development, and compositing.
- Extensive knowledge of Matte Painting techniques and 3D environment techniques.
- Expertise in software such as Photoshop, 3ds Max, Maya, Houdini, Vray, RenderMan, Nuke, and additional environment tools like Gaea, Terragen, Speedtree, Zbrush, and Substance Painter.
- Excellent communication and team-oriented thinking skills, with a passion for sharing knowledge, helping others, and problem-solving.
