Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Portable Pipe Hangers (Canada) Inc. as a Project Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, supervising the installation of mechanical systems, and managing projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design power plants, machines, and equipment, and prepare detailed specifications and estimates for machinery and systems.
- Project Management: Plan and manage projects, including preparing material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications.
- Supervision and Inspection: Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Contract Management: Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: AutoCAD Certification, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Windows, computer-aided design (CAD), MS Office, and MS Excel.
- Area of Work Experience: Experience in installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities, operations or production, purchasing, procurement, and contracts, and fabrication.
- Area of Specialization: Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, material handling, construction, drafting, and industrial design.
