Job Summary

Castone Construction Limited is seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roof Installation and Repair: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Supervision and Instruction: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects and plan work schedules accordingly.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Software: Operate CAD and other computer software systems to design and plan roofing projects.
  • Scaffolding and Platform Installation: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms for safe and efficient work.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repair of roofs.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Work Environment: Willing to work at heights, in noisy, dusty, and dangerous environments, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
  • Transportation and Travel: Willing to travel for work-related purposes.
