Job Title: Roofing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc. in Nova Scotia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, single-ply roofing systems, and metal roofs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Repair roofing systems
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
  • Install sheet metal flashings
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work at heights and in fast-paced environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
