Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified educator to join our team as a Temp PT at the York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in teaching and a passion for creating a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs
- Utilize universal design and differentiation techniques to promote inclusive learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student learning and achievement
- Manage classroom effectively, maintaining a safe and respectful environment
- Assess student progress, using data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)
- Experience with Social Emotional Learning and creating a positive classroom community
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Understanding of the BC Curriculum and ability to plan for diverse student needs
- Willingness to work collaboratively with staff to enhance student learning
- $2000 relocation allowance for teachers from BC, AB, and Yukon
- $4000 relocation allowance for teachers from other areas
- $2947 recruitment allowance (paid over 10 months)
- Salary as per collective agreement ($63,492 - $108,576)
- Benefits as per collective agreement, including medical, dental, and extended health insurance
- Isolation allowance of $687.70 paid over 10 months
