With over 500 Nunavimmiut employed within our offices and subsidiaries, we prioritize Inuit Beneficiary hiring.

Job Description

This role involves managing and supporting Frontline Workers, planning schedules to ensure service coverage, and reporting information from the field to management. You will also liaise with partner organizations, facilitate coordination, and maintain updated information on culturally appropriate services and programs for urban Inuit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Frontline Workers to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Coordinating schedules to prevent breaches in service
  • Reporting field information to management and ensuring effective communication
  • Liaising with partner organizations to support urban Inuit
  • Staying informed about culturally relevant services and activities
  • Participating in committees to improve the quality of life for Inuit in Montreal
  • Traveling within the city as needed

You will be available to travel within the city and perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by management.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require a College Diploma or equivalent experience related to the position. Four to six years' experience in a related field is necessary, along with good communication skills in at least two languages: Inuktitut, English, and/or French.

General knowledge of Inuit traditions and cultural awareness are essential, as well as leadership and accountability skills. Ability to manage teams and individuals, work in a diverse environment, and obtain security clearance are also required.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include all marginal benefits available to employees of Makivvik as outlined in the Makivvik Human Resources Policy Manual.
