Capital Planning Analyst Role

As a key member of the Government of Alberta team, the Capital Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in coordinating and participating in the capital planning process. This involves working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for infrastructure development and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and participate in capital planning processes, including needs assessment, clinical service plans, and budget submissions.
  • Monitor approved capital projects from planning to hand-over to operations.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and modeling to develop recommendations and advice for decision-making.
  • Collect and consolidate data and information to develop and present updates and reports.
  • Review and provide input on issues related to mental health and addiction infrastructure capital programs.
  • Administer contracts to support capital infrastructure planning and project development.
  • Liaise with ministry units, other ministries, and stakeholders to develop business cases and project planning documentation.
