About the Role:
The Team Leader - Home Centre will be responsible for leading the Home Centre team to achieve sales, service, and customer satisfaction goals. This role will involve collaborating with the Home Centre Team Leaders to develop and implement plans, policies, and innovations to drive growth in sales, service, and earnings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Home Centre team to achieve sales, service, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Collaborate with the Home Centre Team Leaders to develop and implement plans, policies, and innovations to drive growth in sales, service, and earnings.
- Engage and interact with customers to create a legendary customer experience at all touchpoints.
- Drive sales through the instore sales team by identifying customer-focused solutions using the full Home Centre product lineup.
- Be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of the store location, property, and rolling stock.
- Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and image standards.
- Be responsible for achieving budgeted goals through pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory control in each commodity.
- Be responsible for building strong customer relationships, delivering solutions, and overseeing and monitoring client satisfaction.
- Provide leadership to the team members and team leaders, including the functions of acquisition, training, development, coaching, and performance management.
- Oversee adherence to the Safety Management and Asset Protection systems, policies, procedures, records, and training requirements.
- Articulate and effectively communicate a vision for success to the store leaders and team members.
- Embody the values of Honesty, Innovation, Responsibility, and Respect.

The Team Leader - Home Centre will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. This role will involve leading the department managers on a fun and passionate team to cultivate a culture of collaboration and customer focus.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the home and building, construction, or retail industry, with at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Experience and knowledge in estimating and construction, with knowledge of trends and codes an asset.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, developing, and leading a team.
- Strong computer and technical background, including effective working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized and innovative with excellent analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple strict deadlines.
- Superior decision-making and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Willing to travel for short periods to attend training events and buying shows.
- Ability to fulfill the physical job requirements.
- Minimum Class 5 driver's license required.
