AVP, Group Underwriting Lead

At Equitable, we are seeking an experienced AVP, Group Underwriting to join our team. As a key member of our Group Division's leadership team, you will be responsible for managing three key areas of the Group business: Group Underwriting, National Client Service Representatives, and Client Issue and Implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and refine underwriting guidelines, practices, and procedures for the Group Division.
- Lead the delivery of effective new business and renewal underwriting activities.
- Coach, develop, and provide ongoing guidance to a team of six managers and their staff.
- Oversee large case underwriting decisions and collaborate with external reinsurance partners.
- Collaborate closely with other Group departments to support the development of new and existing products and services.
- 15+ years of in-depth Group underwriting knowledge and experience.
- Exceptional knowledge of group benefits and understanding of business & market implications.
- Proven ability to balance decision making to attract, retain, and renew business.
