We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Magna Search Group. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of biweekly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage biweekly payroll processing for Canadian employees
- Oversee full-cycle payroll responsibilities, including benefits enrolment and support
- Support new employee onboarding and assist leadership with drafting of contracts
- Work with managers on ad hoc HR projects
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits
- Maintain and update payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Supervise payroll staff and coordinate with HR and finance departments
- Prepare and review payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
- Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies
- Implement and maintain payroll systems and software updates
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for payroll transactions
- Manage year-end processes, including T4s, Relevé 1, and other tax-related forms
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve payroll processing efficiency
- Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance
- Bilingual (English and French)
- ~ 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll management
- ~ Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and laws in Quebec and Canada
