Highly Skilled Piping Designer for Energy and Resource Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping Designer to join our Engineering team in Canada. As an Intermediate Piping Designer, you will be responsible for applying your design knowledge on project work from conceptual design through completion. Technical quality, cost effectiveness, building and maintaining team relationships, and providing guidance to a team of designers are integral parts of this role.

What You'll Do
  • Provide competent assistance to senior designers with larger projects, including creating PFD/P&ID, Plot Plans, equipment and piping models, GA and ISO drawings.
  • Conduct and prepare as-built drawings.
  • Check the work of and assist in the training of less experienced drafting personnel.
  • Identify potential changes to scope and communicate with discipline lead.
  • Review third-party engineering design/vendor drawings with engineers to create 3D models and piping drawings.
  • Occasional travel to client sites for field reviews.
What We're Looking For
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in piping design.
  • Diploma in related field (engineering design and drafting).
  • Team player attitude, able to work in project teams.
  • Fluent English language skills, excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs.
  • Able to work independently, seek assistance when needed.
  • Maintain an open mind to constructive feedback and apply recommendations towards self-improvement.
  • Experience in CADWORX and Plant 3D.
  • Previous experience in EPCM environment an asset.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
