To be successful in this role, you will have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the piping design field. You will apply your design knowledge on project work from conceptual design through completion. Technical quality, cost-effectiveness, building, and maintaining team relationships, and providing guidance to a team of designers are integral parts of this role.
About the JobThis role involves providing competent assistance to senior designers with larger projects. You will create PFD/P&ID, Plot Plans, equipment and piping models, GA and ISO drawings. You will also conduct and prepare as-built drawings, check the work of less experienced drafting personnel, and identify potential changes to scope and communicate to discipline leads.
What You Will Bring to WSP- Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma in a related field.
- Team player attitude and ability to work in a project team environment.
- Fluent in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs.
- Ability to work and complete tasks independently, seek out assistance, and ask questions of company leaders and experts.
- Maintain an open-mind when receiving constructive feedback and apply recommendations towards self-improvement.
- Experience in CADWORX and Plant 3D.
- Previous experience in an EPCM environment is an asset.
