Equipment Design Specialist

About the Role:
Soucy is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Design Specialist to join our team in the Equipment Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative equipment solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Define project requirements with stakeholders and plan all related activities to ensure successful project execution.
- Proposal Development: Draft proposals, budgets, and present projects for approval to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Design and Development: Plan, coordinate, and approve designs for equipment and systems, ensuring they meet technical and quality standards.
- Research and Procurement: Research various components and make purchase requests to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials.
- Project Management: Manage subcontracting involved in the project, oversee implementation, and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with various internal departments, such as maintenance, production, commissioning, manufacturing engineering, etc., to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication of project progress.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensure that the needs of internal or external clients are met and that they are satisfied with the proposed solution throughout the project.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment design, development, and project management.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, excellent communication and project management skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
